Orvis Budget Friendly - Schroeder's Parachute Hopper

Hopper dry fly fishing is about as good as it gets in the late summer and fall when the grasshoppers are plentiful and the warm winds are blowing them out of the grass into the streams. Fish key in on these big dry flies due to the abundance of calories in one big hopper. On open grassland rivers in the West, there is no better time of the year. Try fishing this very visible parachute dry fly pattern anytime you see hoppers in the grass near rivers.

Sizes: 8, 10, 12, 14.
